Cheesy Bacon - Wrapped Pork Chops
April 14, 2008 by crystalmoment
This was our viand for our dinner tonight. My magster and hubby dear liked it so I think I should post it here to share to those who are interested to try it.
Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
6 (6-7 ounce boneless pork loin chops
6 slices bacon
ground black pepper
salt
garlic powder
3 slices American cheese, cut into halves
Directions:
Dry the chops with paper towels and season generously with salt, pepper and garlic. Wrap a strip of bacon around each one, securing with a toothpick (if u like, I did not use it though). Put the chops on a wired-rack pan and BROIL 4 inches from heat source, 6-8 minutes. Turn and continue broiling to desired *doneness, approximately 6-7 minutes. On the last 2 minutes put cheese on top and broil again until it melted. Serve hot.
* I cooked it into two batches. Notice that some chops cheese were a little burnt, it’s because I prefer it very well cooked.
Dinner was delicious specially paired with yummy leftover-well chilled potato salad from last night ;-).
